Softball Recap: South Point Takes a Loss

South Point suffered their closest defeat since April 22, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Johnson Central Golden Eagles by a score of 8-6.

South Point saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adyson Copley, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Copley also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

South Point's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Johnson Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Coming up, South Point will host Portsmouth at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Johnson Central, they will head out to challenge Paintsville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
