While Mercy's victory against Harker wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Eagles on Thursday. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Mercy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 19-25, 25-20, 26-24, 15-7.

Mercy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Harker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Mercy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Lowell on the 26th. As for Harker, they will take on Menlo School at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Knights have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
