Volleyball Recap: Centaurus' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was fun while it lasted, but Centaurus's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Saturday. They fell just short of the Thomas Jefferson Spartans by a score of 2-1. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Centaurus started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Eric Beuke paced Centaurus' offense, picking up ten kills. Beuke got some help from Braden Walls and his three assists. Zane Harr controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Centaurus fell to 4-1. As for Thomas Jefferson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Centaurus has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Addenbrooke Classical Academy on the 15th. As for Thomas Jefferson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Mullen on the 15th.
