Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Watterson Eagles vs. Bishop Hartley Hawks

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Bishop Watterson Eagles challenge the Bishop Hartley Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Bishop Watterson is headed into the match having just posted their biggest win since March 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 72-39 victory over Teays Valley. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Vikings are ranked 497th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bishop Hartley ended up a good deal behind Olentangy Orange on Saturday and lost 75-60.

Bishop Hartley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Bishop Watterson, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Bishop Watterson came up short against Bishop Hartley in their previous meeting on January 10th, falling 48-38. Can Bishop Watterson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
