Volleyball Game Preview: Broadwater Academy Vikings vs. Gateway Christian

The Broadwater Academy Vikings will venture away from home to face off against Gateway Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Broadwater Academy will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Atlantic Shores Christian, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Vikings walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Seahawks on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Broadwater Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Gateway Christian entered their tilt with Portsmouth Christian on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Patriots 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 25-14.

Gateway Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Broadwater Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Broadwater Academy suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Gateway Christian in their previous meeting on October 2nd. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
