Volleyball Game Preview: St. Helens Lions vs. Astoria Fishermen

St. Helens is 1-9 against Astoria since September of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lions will take on the Fishermen at 6:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

St. Helens took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Seaside with a sharp 3-0 win. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Seagulls recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Astoria made easy work of Scappoose on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Astoria's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for St. Helens, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

St. Helens might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Astoria in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
