Long Reach and Hammond are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Lightning will head out to challenge the Golden Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, Long Reach came up short against Marriotts Ridge and fell 6-3. The loss continues a trend for the Lightning in their meetings with Marriotts Ridge: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Hammond beat Oakland Mills 8-4 on Monday.

Long Reach's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hammond, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything went Long Reach's way against Hammond when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Long Reach made off with a 15-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lightning since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
