Softball Recap: St. Ignace Comes Up Short

St. Ignace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 26-4 to the Inland Lakes Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Tuesday.

St. Ignace saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Halberg, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Maggie Massey was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.

St. Ignace's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Inland Lakes, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.

Looking ahead, St. Ignace will take on Pickford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Inland Lakes, they will host Central Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
