Basketball Recap: Chattahoochee Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Loren Withrite and Mayisha Kimoto

Chattahoochee lost against Roswell back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chattahoochee Cougars lost 50-29 to the Roswell Hornets.

Chattahoochee's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Mayisha Kimoto, who posted four points along with seven rebounds and five blocks, and Loren Withrite, who earned eight points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Kimoto a new career-high in blocks.

Roswell was led to victory by Eve Buckley and Mary Harms Mulkey. Buckley dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards, while Mulkey put up 11 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Buckley has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Taylor Carlson, who had five points along with five rebounds and four blocks.

Chattahoochee now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Roswell, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Chattahoochee will face off against Lanier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roswell, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 85-48 victory against Seckinger on the 1st.
