Basketball Recap: Mt. Abraham Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Milton

On Monday, Mt. Abraham faced Milton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Mt. Abraham Eagles fell just short of the Milton Yellowjackets by a score of 49-46. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellowjackets earlier this season, when they won 54-46.

Mt. Abraham's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Milton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

The future could be bright for both Mt. Abraham and Milton: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Mt. Abraham will try to hand Missisquoi Valley their 12th-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Milton will look to extend Stowe's four-game losing streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
