Volleyball Game Preview: Rochelle Zell Jewish Tigers vs. Elmwood Park Tigers

Rochelle Zell Jewish will square off against Elmwood Park at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Elmwood Park took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Rochelle Zell Jewish, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Rochelle Zell Jewish turned things around against Holy Trinity on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Holy Trinity.

Rochelle Zell Jewish easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Elmwood Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Payton College Prep. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Grizzlies 25-15 in the first set.

Elmwood Park actually scored more points across those three sets (71-66), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Rochelle Zell Jewish's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Elmwood Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.
