Basketball Game Preview: North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators vs. Anthem Prep Eagles

The North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators will challenge the Anthem Prep Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Phoenix Preparatory Academy's defense has only allowed 25.8 points per game this season, so Anthem Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.

North Phoenix Preparatory Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sabrina Daniel, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards, and Alexandra Price, who posted five points in addition to 13 rebounds and six blocks. Those 13 points gave Daniel a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Anthem Prep also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Valley Lutheran by a score of 38-26. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anthem Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, they dropped their record down to 10-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

North Phoenix Preparatory Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Anthem Prep in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 28-20. Will North Phoenix Preparatory Academy repeat their success, or does Anthem Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
