Volleyball Recap: Angeline Academy of Innovation Starts off Right with Win over Classical Prep

Angeline Academy of Innovation had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They won by a set and slipped past the Classical Prep Lions 3-2.

Angeline Academy of Innovation wouldn't go down easily and took Classical Prep into a fifth set where they got it done with a 11-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 21-25, 23-25, 15-4.

Angeline Academy of Innovation was led to victory by Mia Root and Ellie Kappelmann. Root had 18 digs and three aces, while Kappelmann had seven aces and one assist.

They weren't the only good server: Angeline Academy of Innovation was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 27 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Classical Prep only served five aces.

Angeline Academy of Innovation has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Wesley Chapel on the 19th. As for Classical Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic on the 21st.
