Volleyball Recap: Angeline Academy of Innovation Starts off Right with Win over Classical Prep

Angeline Academy of Innovation had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out the Classical Prep Lions 3-2 on Monday.

Angeline Academy of Innovation wouldn't go down easily and took Classical Prep into a fifth set where they got it done with a 11-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-24, 21-25, 23-25, 15-4.

Angeline Academy of Innovation was led to victory by Mia Root and Ellie Kappelmann. Root had 18 digs and three aces, while Kappelmann had seven aces and one assist.

They weren't the only good server: Angeline Academy of Innovation was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 27 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Classical Prep only served five aces.

Angeline Academy of Innovation wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Wesley Chapel on the 19th. As for Classical Prep, they will take on Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
