Basketball Game Preview: Dover Senators vs. Milford Buccaneers

Dover is 10-0 against Milford since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Dover Senators will host the Milford Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

Dover is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Smyrna, who was ranked fourth at the time (Dover was ranked 19th). Dover might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 55-48 to Smyrna, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Milford suffered their closest loss since December 21, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Sussex Central by a score of 38-36.

Milford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Dover, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Everything came up roses for Dover against Milford when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 56-14 win. Will Dover repeat their success, or does Milford have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
