Football Recap: Notre Dame Titans vs. Western Christian Fighting Lancers
Notre Dame was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 47-6 loss at the hands of the Western Christian Fighting Lancers. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2017.
Jeffrey Jackson had a dynamite game for Western Christian, rushing for 118 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. The dominant performance gave Jackson a new career-high in rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Carter Doolittle, who rushed for 27 yards and a touchdown.
Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Western Christian, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.
Notre Dame will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Xavier Prep at 7:00 p.m. As for Western Christian, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Calvary Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
