Richards hadn't done well against Shepard recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs never let the Astros get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Richards now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Shepard, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Richards will challenge rival Oak Forest at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Shepard is set to square off against their familiar foe Oak Lawn at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
