Softball Recap: Show Low Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Show Low entered their tilt with Holbrook on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Roadrunners with a sharp 8-1 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-3 two weeks ago.

Aspyn Clark spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Angelee Villa was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Avery Ervien, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Show Low kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in 13 consecutive contests.

Show Low's win bumped their record up to 25-4. As for Holbrook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season.
