Softball Recap: Spanish Springs Cougars vs. Reed Raiders

Spanish Springs scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They came out on top against the Reed Raiders by a score of 20-17. The high-scoring effort was just what Spanish Springs needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

The team relied heavily on McKenna Timmons, who went 3-for-6 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Charli York, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

On Reed's side, Kehaulani Tambaoan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off three home runs, eight RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Tiare Kanae, who went 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Even though they lost, Reed lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. This was only their first loss (out of four games) when they post two or more home runs.
