Newton put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 38-26 victory over the North Warren Regional Patriots. Given the Braves' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Patriots are ranked 315th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Newton pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for North Warren Regional, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Newton will look to defend their home court on Friday against Wallkill Valley at 4:00 p.m. As for North Warren Regional, they will take on High Point at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
