Football Recap: Palmyra Takes a Loss

Palmyra and Monroe City squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Palmyra had to settle for second. They came up short against Monroe City, falling 34-8. The loss continues a trend for Palmyra in their meetings with Monroe City: they've now lost six in a row.

Palmyra's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Monroe City, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Palmyra does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monroe City, they will square off against Brookfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
