Southlake Carroll and Byron Nelson squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Southlake Carroll had to settle for second. They came up short against the Byron Nelson Bobcat, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Dragons couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Byron Nelson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaitlyn Francis, who had 15 digs.
Southlake Carroll moved to 28-11 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. As for Byron Nelson, the victory was the 34th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 38-1.
