Churchill and Ashland are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Saturday, Churchill came up short against Thurston and fell 6-2.

Churchill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Wiscovich, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Wiscovich also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Ashland came up short against Eagle Point on Saturday, falling 13-4.

Churchill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Ashland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Churchill was able to grind out a solid win over Ashland when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 9-6. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
