Volleyball Game Preview: Holyoke Purple Knights vs. Chicopee Comp Colts

The Holyoke Purple Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Chicopee Comp Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, Holyoke came up short against Pioneer Valley Christian and fell 3-1. The Purple Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Chicopee Comp made easy work of Pittsfield on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won four in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Chicopee Comp was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-15.

Chicopee Comp's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Holyoke, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Holyoke couldn't quite get it done against Chicopee Comp in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Purple Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
