The Lincoln Lions will head out to face off against the Westerville North Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lincoln will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Lincoln came out on top against Grove City on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Lions took their game against the Greyhounds 5-2. The game was the first time the Lions have beaten the Greyhounds on their field since May 9, 2023.
Grace Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.

At the plate, Kira Bailey was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. Madi Hall was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double.
Meanwhile, Westerville North got themselves on the board against Westland on Thursday, but Westland never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 16-0 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.
Leila Morrison was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ella Kacsandi, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddy Roark, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.
Westerville North always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Lincoln's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Westerville North, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.
Saturday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lincoln hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .362. However, it's not like Westerville North struggles in that department as they've averaged .388. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
