Fernley won the last time they faced South Tahoe and things went their way  on Saturday too. The Vaqueros came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings, sneaking past  2-1.
 Fernley found their leader in freshman  Jocelyn Escartin, who  had ten  digs and two  assists.  Grace Chapin also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  dig of the season.
Fernley has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record  this season. As for South Tahoe, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
 Fernley has already played their next game,  a  2-0  victory against Churchill County on the 16th. As for South Tahoe, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Elko at 6:00  p.m.  on  the 29th.
