Softball Recap: Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove Comes Up Short

Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-5 on April 8th.

Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Coming up, Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove will head out on the road to face off against Springfield at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, they will be playing at home against Murray County Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
