Basketball Recap: Seffner Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Steinbrenner last Saturday, Seffner Christian came back down to earth. The Seffner Christian Crusaders fell 56-46 to the Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles on Thursday. The Crusaders have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Seffner Christian now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seffner Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Zephyrhills Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Zephyrhills Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Seffner Christian likes a good challenge. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bishop Moore at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
