Soccer Recap: Lockhart Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Lockhart after they claimed the first goal on Friday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Liberty Hill Panthers by a score of 2-1.

Lockhart's goal came courtesy of Antonio Rios, who's now up to seven this season.

Lockhart's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-3-1. As for Liberty Hill, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 6-4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lockhart is set to square off against their familiar foe Hays at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Liberty Hill will face off against rival Glenn at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
