Baseball Recap: Sparta Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sparta can now relate to. They fell 7-3 to the Chester Yellowjackets on Monday. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Sparta saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Shelton, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Sparta's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Chester, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Sparta nor Chester have any future games scheduled.
