Basketball Recap: Centerville Bulldogs vs. Frankton Eagles

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Centerville Bulldogs can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 59-19 loss at the hands of the Eagles. Centerville just can't catch a break and has now endured four defeats in a row.

Frankton had a senior duo take command as Amaya Collins dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten steals and Emma Sperry dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Collins has scored at least a third of Frankton's points. Sophia Hoagland was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.

Centerville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season. As for Frankton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-7.

Centerville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Frankton will face off against the Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton Heights is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
