Menlo School extended their postseason success on Thursday against Monterey. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Dores. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won nine matches in a row.

Reid Plamondon tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Menlo School saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Widner, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits Widner has posted since back in March. Fletcher Cahill was another, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Menlo School's win bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Monterey, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-18 record.

As of now, neither Menlo School nor the Dores have any future games scheduled.
