Softball Recap: Fairmont Takes a Loss

Fairmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 10-6 to the Goshen Warriors.

Carlee Netherton was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amy Osman, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Fairmont's record is now 5-4. As for Goshen, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Fairmont will face off against Fairfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Goshen, they will challenge Clinton-Massie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
