Field has gone 9-1 against Coventry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Falcons will look to defend their home field against the Comets at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Field's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Coventry has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.

Field had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Woodridge on Friday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 7-1 win. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Coventry came up short against Manchester on Saturday and fell 6-1.

Coventry saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Batten, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Field's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Coventry, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Field got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Coventry by a conclusive 14-4 score. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Comets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
