Basketball Recap: Mission Veterans Memorial Comes Up Short

Mission Veterans Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to the Mission Eagles on the road by a 47-32 margin. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-42 last Tuesday.

Mission Veterans Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Mission, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission Veterans Memorial will take on Cigarroa in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mission Veterans Memorial is facing Cigarroa at the right time seeing as Cigarroa is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Mission and Palmview will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Palmview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season.
