Jamauri Dailey Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Starting off the list is Southern Choctaw's Jamauri Dailey, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Dailey made a tackle and defended a pass, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 82 yards.

Southern Choctaw's win bumped their record up to 5-1. Dailey and Southern Choctaw will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Millry at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

While Fruitdale might've come up empty on Friday, Brock Williams wasn't going down without a fight. Southern Choctaw had no answer to Williams as he picked up 40 receiving yards.

Fruitdale is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Williams and Fruitdale will challenge Sweet Water at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Demarco Johnson Delivers Best Effort of Season

Southern Choctaw was led to victory by Demarco Johnson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Johnson picked up 48 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making eight total tackles and defending a pass.

For the year, Johnson has averaged 6.4 total tackles per game.

Big Game from Riley As Mcintosh Fell 55-16

Rounding off our Top Five is Cedric Riley of McIntosh. Riley rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards.

McIntosh is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. Riley and McIntosh will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shields at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.
