Soccer Recap: Smithson Valley Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Smithson Valley was not quite Alamo Heights's equal in the second half on Friday. They came up short against the Alamo Heights Mules, falling 3-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Rangers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Smithson Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Alamo Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Smithson Valley and Alamo Heights will both be playing Boerne the next time they take the pitch. Smithson Valley will host Boerne at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Alamo Heights will host them at 7:15 p.m. on March 4th.
