Soccer Game Preview: Hanks vs. Del Valle

Hanks is 1-9 against Del Valle since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Hanks Knights will host the Del Valle Conquistadores at 10:30 a.m. Hanks will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Hanks turned things around against Parkland on Saturday. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Matadors. The contest marked the Knights' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Del Valle's and Parkland's game on Wednesday was close at halftime, but Del Valle turned on the heat in the second half with four goals. Del Valle never let Parkland onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Conquistadores, who have now won four matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Hanks' win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-8. As for Del Valle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Hanks suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Del Valle in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Hanks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
