Columbus North won the last time they faced Shelbyville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bull Dogs came out on top against the Golden Bears by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bull Dogs.

Columbus North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-10.

Karen Dutro paced Columbus North's offense, picking up 15 kills. Dutro got some help from Lexi Denny and her 41 assists. Morgan Osborn controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Columbus North's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Shelbyville, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Columbus North will take on Greensburg in a tournament on Saturday. As for Shelbyville, they will venture away from home to challenge Yorktown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
