Volleyball Recap: Mcmichael's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

McMichael and North Wilkes squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but McMichael had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Vikings. The Phoenix's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

McMichael's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daisy Pinzon, who had 15 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Smith, who had 11 digs and five assists.

McMichael's defeat dropped their record down to 22-11. As for North Wilkes, the victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 23-4.

McMichael does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Wilkes, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Pine Lake Prep on the 25th.
