Football Recap: Hayesville Falls Despite Big Games from Peyton Mcgaha and Ben Bethel

After soaring to 35 points the game before, Hayesville was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 29-10 to the Robbinsville Black Knights. The Yellowjackets were not able to make up for their loss to the Black Knights from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Hayesville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ben Bethel, who picked up 103 receiving yards and one touchdown, and Peyton McGaha, who threw for 116 yards and one TD. Bethel got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 65 yards.

With the loss, Hayesville broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2. As for Robbinsville, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.
