Volleyball Recap: Milledgeville Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Milledgeville couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Eastland Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Missiles haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Kennedy Livengood paced Milledgeville's offense, picking up ten kills. Livengood got some help from Brinley Hackbarth and her 14 assists.

Morgan McCullough was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 digs and one assist.

Milledgeville's loss dropped their record down to 29-7. As for Eastland, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-10.

Milledgeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastland, they will square off against Galena at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
