Volleyball Recap: Elgin Takes a Loss

Elgin's tournament run continued when they took on Timothy Christian on Saturday. The Maroons fell 2-0 to the Trojans. The Maroons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Timothy Christian scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21.

Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Timothy Christian, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Coincidentally, Elgin and Timothy Christian will both be playing Streamwood the next time they take the court. The Maroons will head out to face the Sabres at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
