Softball Recap: Sunnyside Comes Up Short

While it was Sunnyside who put the first runs on the board on Friday, it was Eisenhower who put up more. The Grizzlies lost 19-3 to the Cadets. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Cadets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Lili Briones was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run. Janiah Rodriguez was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Sunnyside's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Eisenhower, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sunnyside will take on rival Moses Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Eisenhower is set to square off against their familiar foe Wenatchee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
