Volleyball Recap: New Hope Comes Up Short

If New Hope was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Caledonia on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tupelo Golden Wave on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Wave this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14.

New Hope has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Tupelo, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-10.

New Hope has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Caledonia on the 13th. As for Tupelo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Olive Branch on the 13th.
