Basketball Recap: Newark Charter School Comes Up Short

Newark Charter School lost against Conrad Science back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Newark Charter School Patriots took a 64-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Conrad Science Red Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Red Wolves are ranked ninth).

Newark Charter School has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Conrad Science, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Newark Charter School will face off against First State Military Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Newark Charter School is facing First State Military Academy at the right time seeing as First State Military Academy is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Conrad Science, they will take on DuPont at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
