Basketball Recap: Hazel Green Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Hazel Green hadn't done well against Sparkman recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Hazel Green Trojans secured a 45-40 W over the Sparkman Senators. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Senators are ranked 117th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hazel Green is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Sparkman, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11.
