Basketball Recap: Walsenburg Panthers vs. Fowler Grizzlies

Adrian Vallejos and Logan Tenorio certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Vallejos posted eight points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Tenorio earned three points and 15 boards. Tenorio is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 12 games he's played.

Fowler had a senior duo take command as Isaiah Montoya went 7 for 14 on his way to 18 points and three steals and Cael True almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for Montoya. Bruley McCuistion was another key player, putting up six points.

Walsenburg's record now sits at 2-13. As for Fowler, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
