Soccer Recap: Mayfield Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Mayfield was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They came up short against the Calloway County Lakers, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Mayfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Calloway County are ranked 14th).

Mayfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13-1. As for Calloway County, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-1.

As of now, neither Mayfield nor the Lakers have any future games scheduled.
