The Denver West Cowboys will venture away from home to square off against the Alameda Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Alameda took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Denver West, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Denver West needed a bit of extra time to put away Highland. They managed a 13-7 victory over the Huskies.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 48 points the game before, Alameda was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by The Classical Academy and fell 56-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Pirates haven't been shut out since back in September.

Denver West's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Alameda, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Everything came up roses for Denver West against Alameda in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 58-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
